I enjoy creation; making something out of just an idea.
I have designed and built satellite structures, airplanes, ground support equipment, and fast deploying housing to help the neediest around the world.
In 2003, I got my start engineering composite and metal designs for spaceflight systems at Eastman Kodak (Example of one of my structures).
In 2008 I joined the Final Assembly and Delivery team for Boeing’s 787, where I resolved design and damage issues to help us build, test, and fly airplanes.
In 2011, I took on a role where I oversaw the design, fabrication, and certification of customer furnished galley structures built by overseas suppliers.
In August 2011 I was granted an educational leave and moved to Upstate New York to earn my MBA. I finished my MBA in June 2013 at University of Rochester's Simon Business School.
I moved back to Seattle and joined the 747 program as a lead engineer and took on the role of Interiors IPT focal for Project Ozark. I led a team of engineers to build the business case for weight, cost, and performance improvements for a jumbo-jet flagship.
In July 2014 I joined Reaction Housing in Austin to lead the engineering and manufacturing organizations. I was the fifth employee. We grew to over 50 people, but ended up in bankruptcy in April 2016 after we were unable to raise a Series B under favorable terms.
I took a detour to Denver for the latter half of 2016, and now I'm in Rochester, NY. I make cameras, telescopes, payloads, and many things that support America on space and airborne platforms.
In my free time you will find me training for triathlon, enjoying drinks and conversation with friends, camping, or perfecting my plan to make the world a better place (and/or world domination).
I like tinkering, so you might even find me working on a car or motorcycle. I also have a 1910 American four square house I'm slowly (emphasis on SLOW) renovating to suit my vibes.
